Official Bio[]

"Sleek modern racers who stand out on the speedway, Next-Gen racers blend smart design and leading technology in order to reach their maximum potential on the track. These racers' careers took off once they paired with dynamic crew chiefs, and they've been riding high ever since."[1]

Cars 3[]

Jackson Storm is the front-runner in the next-generation racers, who have capabilities the veteran racers lack, most notably higher speed, giving veterans a hard time trying to keep up. Following Jackson's win at Copper Canyon Speedway, six veteran racers are fired by their sponsors with next-gens replacing them. More and more next-gens would begin appearing throughout the season while veterans either get fired or make their own decision to retire to clear the way. By the Los Angeles 500, the next-gens have replaced all but eleven of the veterans, though they, excluding Lightning McQueen, would have the same fate as the other veterans afterwards.

In the Rust-Eze Racing Center, there are 12 racing trainees to be professional racer in the Piston Cup Racing Series, training in the Treadmills, Wind tunnels, Virtual Reality and the simulator XDL 24 GTS Mark Z. The RRC trainees didn't appear at the film's rest.

In the Florida International Speedway, Ryan Laney, Bubba Wheelhouse and Chase Racelott were interviewed by the press about Lightning McQueen's final, later the race begins, Cam Spinner accidentally makes a masive crash (like in Porto Corsa and Motor Speedway of the South), in the second time McQueen replaces himself to Cruz Ramirez to finish the race, later Cruz wins the Florida 500 against Storm.

Danny and Flip appear in the credits as photo laughing at Cruz Ramirez' tires thanks to Guido (like that happened to Cal Weathers), and one of the racing trainees appear in the credits.
