It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Laura L. Jácome, which occurred on Wednesday, June 5th, 2024. Loving mother to Miguel, Loly, Magie, Nury, and William; Beloved grandmother of Gabriel, Miguel III, Brandon, Michelle, Kaleo, Christopher, Rebecca, Elyas, and Sarah; as well as to her great-granddaughters, Charlotte and Penelope. Mary Labiak,92, of Greenpoint passed away peacefully on April 23, 2024, at Gurwin Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Mary was predeceased by her husband, Walter whom she was married to for 61yrs. Mary was born in Greenpoint, Brooklyn on June 5, 1931. She was the daughter of Catherine (McKeegan) and John McCurry. Mary is survived by her five children, Catherine Maher (James), Mary Coen (William), Michael Labiak (Valerie), John Labiak (Eileen), and Walter Labiak, her sister Catherine Revy, fifteen grandchildren , fourteen great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Mary was predeceased by her brothers John and James McCurry and her grandson Michael Labiak. Mary attended St.Anthony's School and St. Michael's Academy High School. She was a life long member of St. Anthony's parish. She worked for many years at Greenpoint Savings Bank and in later years for King Administrators. She retired at the age of 78. Mary always enjoyed shopping, reading, and watching crime dramas. Her true love was spending time with her family. Over the years her most treasured moments were spent taking care of, visiting, and spending free time with her kids, grandkids and great-grandchildren who lovingly referred to her as GiGi. Mary was a great listener and always had a smile on her face. Even in these last months at Gurwin Rehabilitation Center, she was known for always having a smile for the staff. Mary was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister , aunt, and friend. Robert Walter MihalkoRobert “Bob” Mihalko, 87, of Greenpoint, Brooklyn, New York born on February 18th, 1935, passed away in his home on December 23rd, 2022 in the loving company of his son, Mark Mihalko, and his daughter, Karen Stroh. In addition to his children, Bob is survived by his dearest brothers, James and Andrew Mihalko, his cherished granddaughters, Samantha and Rebecca Stroh, and his numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors that he cared for considerably.Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Teresa “Toots” Mihalko, as well as his dearly beloved, and deeply missed, wife, Eileen Mihalko (Gordon). Bob and Eileen were married September 27th, 1958, and he will be laid to eternal rest with her so that they may be reunited once more.Bob attended Brooklyn Automotive High and then served time for our country in the U.S. Navy. Bob eventually retired from Gassman Coal & Oil after 40 years of dedicated work. In his retirement, he found great joy in making wonderful memories with his granddaughters.Bob was a skilled bowler, adept pool player, and loved doing the word search in the daily paper. He also enjoyed walking up the avenue, playing his numbers, going to the nearby casino, and drinking the hottest cup of coffee possible out of his favorite green mug. Over his many years on Diamond Street, Bob was often found sitting on the stoop, enjoying visits and laughs with family, friends, and neighbors. Those who were lucky enough to love Bob, knew him for his immense generosity, and his kind spirit and regard will be profoundly missed. BOB, DAD, PAPA, BROTHER, UNCLE, NEIGHBOR and FRIEND, may you rest in heavenly peace knowing that you are forever remembered and loved.

Doreen Anne Levens passed on December 29th, 2022. She is remembered, loved and mourned by countless friends and family, having made an impact on so many around her.Doreen was born in Brooklyn, NY on December 24th, 1948. Always an inspiration, she was a wonderful sister to her brothers Dennis and James, and to her sister Karen. She attended St. Anthony’s in Greenpoint, received a scholarship to the acclaimed Mary Louis Academy for high school, and completed her degree at St. Joseph’s College, where she excelled.Doreen went on to become a teacher, but was so much more to her students, making certain each and every one was nurtured and cared for throughout her entire career. She helped to shape and guide the minds of an entire generation to come, changing lives with her compassion.At the same time she started her career, she also became a mother to four boys with her then husband, Brian Levens. She dedicated her life not only to that family, but her many lifelong friends; friendships she has retained for over 70 years. All of those friendships remain close to her family at this time, a tribute to how loved she was.When Doreen found herself independently caring for her sons, she carried through it with the unending support of the community she built. She made an amazing, loving family out of almost nothing. She worked three jobs at a time, took the world of many people on her shoulders, and rarely, if ever, complained about it. She shared her heart with everyone she encountered. And there are countless people who experienced that love and can attest that it made their lives better.Doreen’s incredible spirit is carried on by her four loving sons, Mark, Matthew, Peter, and David, her two beloved daughters-in-law, Catherine and Lucia, her caring brothers, Dennis and James, and her five wonderful grandchildren, Anna Clare, Andrew, Veronica, Juliet, and John. She also leaves behind her partner of the last few years, Joe Kilkeary, who has not only become part of of our family, but who cared for her tirelessly and lovingly until the end.Doreen made everyone she knew feel as though they were part of a family, and she made every person feel important. Had 4 children: son John & wife Antoinette with daughters Jessica & husband Nicholas & children Noah, Adam & Natalie, daughters Amanda & Kristen. Son Steve & wife Elizabeth with daughters Olivia & Emily. Son Timothy. Daughter Carol & husband Jerry. Lived on Java Street for 66 years till moved to Staten Island with daughter & husband in 2018. Was famous for his napkin folding, wind mills & wishing wells. Visited Hawaii 6 times with Nora & once with the Navy. Was a Boy Scout Leader in the ‘60s & ‘70s with sons. Lifetime member of the Green Oaks Citizens Club on Green Street and served as Recording Secretary for many years. Cooked homemade kielbasy and pierogi. Lottie C. Wojciechowicz, nee Wladyslawa WojciechowiczBorn: September 14, 1929, Brooklyn, NYDied: September 30, 2022, Las Vegas, NVLottie C. (Wladyslawa) Wojciechowicz died peacefully on September 30, 2022; she was 93. Born in Brooklyn, NY to Waclaw and Katarzyna Wojciechowicz, Lottie was the second of three children. At the age of 21, Lottie became a novice of the Discalced Carmelites, Generalate of the Teresian Carmel, Carmel of the Incarnation, formerly located in Bronx, NY, and now relocated to Beacon, NY. Her religious name was Sister Mary Catherine.Lottie left the Carmel after 16 years and returned to Brooklyn, NY. She entered the corporate world, working for Pfizer world headquarters for 29 years, in the service of the executive office, retiring at the age of 69.After retiring, Lottie traveled the country and abroad, and loved to spend time volunteering for many organizations, serving as a Minister of the Eucharist, and doting on her many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews. Lottie had many interests, including a love of music and dance, films, opera, ballet, yoga, gardening, holiday decorating, shopping, drinking Starbucks Coffee, studying Catholic theology, and antiquing. Lottie loved Christmas and everything about it. She was a fixture in her Brooklyn neighborhood, and provided the local children with epic Halloween treats. Lottie never forgot a birthday…for anyone. Lottie suffered a catastrophic stroke in 2018, and was moved to Las Vegas, Nevada in 2019, to be cared for by her niece. In 2021, Lottie was moved again to an assisted living facility.Lottie was preceded in death by her parents, Waclaw and Katarzyna; her sister Jadwiga (Edna), and her brother Jan (John), and his wife, Rosalie (Baranowski). John Karcinsky (85) was born on June 7th 1937. The youngest of five siblings, John was thefirst born in the United States, after the family’s emigration from Czech Republic. Since birth,John has proudly called Greenpoint his home. Following high school, John began his service inthe U.S Navy. After his service, John joined the U.S Postal Service, where he was celebratedpostman on Long Island for 36 years. John married his beloved wife Anna in 1964. The tworecently celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary. John loved classic films, traveling withAnna, adventures with his grandchildren, and hosting Christmas Eve. John is survived by hiswife, Anna Karcinsky, his daughter, Anna Reddington and her husband Bob, his daughter, TinaTedeschi and her husband, Matt, and by three grandchildren ( “The Three Angels”); RobReddington, Matt Tedeschi, and Christina Tedeschi. Henrietta Craine March 6 1936 - Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great great grandmother.Born in Jersey City, Daughter of Josephine Chesney. Henrietta attended the school of Mount St Domenic. She met the love of her life Edward M Craine in July 1956 on a double date. Married on September 1, 1957. Henrietta was thrilled to be married into a large family, with many brothers and sisters, that she called her own, and many nieces and nephews whom she adored. Once married she moved to Ed’s home town of Greenpoint, Brooklyn NY, where they raised their family, daughter JoAnn Craine Pesta (Dennis), son Eddie Craine (Kathy), son Sean Craine, and daughter Carol Craine Franklin (Jimmy). Henrietta was very active in the Morgan-Nassau Avenue Block Association, and in her Parish, St. Cecilia’s and also volunteered as Admissions committee for Catholic Charities. After her husband’s untimely passing in 1995, she began a new career joining the staff of PS110 from 1996 to 2005 where she worked alongside lifelong friends she made as a PTA Mom during the 70’s. She enjoyed going on long weekend trips with Ed to Woodloch Pines PA, Eastover in Lenox MA and their weekly Friday night card games with their dear friends. In 2005, she returned to New Jersey and became very active in the Sayreville Borough Community and the Senior building where she resided. Mayor Kennedy O’Brien gifted Henrietta with a proclamation declaring March 6, 2016 her 80th birthday Henrietta Craine Day which was a very special and memorable day for her. In the very recent years she organized Liturgy Mass for those who could not make it to church. She loved playing bingo and cards with the other residents in her building. She enjoyed taking senior center bus trips to the casinos in PA and in Atlantic City. Henrietta loved and collected bears, watching TV. Her favorite shows included Mash, Blue Bloods, Murder She Wrote and anything on the Hallmark Channel. She also thoroughly enjoyed keeping up with of all her family and friends near and far on FACEBOOK where she will be greatly missed. Henrietta will also be lovingly remembered by her four granddaughters, Jennifer, Janel, Jodi and Victoria, five great-granddaughters, Angella, Julianna, Adrianna, Brielle and Sophia and one GREAT-great grandson, Karter.Viewing hours are, Monday November 7th. from 9:00 to 10:30 am. At approximately 3:30am this morning, Santiago was fatally injured while assisting a disabled vehicle on the Long Island Expressway. Santiago succumbed to his injuries at Elmhurst Hospital in Queens, New York. He was 47 years of age. Santiago is survived by his mother Carmen, his father Felix and his three children, Rocco, Carlos Jr., and Julia.Carlos “Campy” Santiago served the New York Metropolitan Area for decades as a tow truck operator. Santiago was a loving father, a devoted son, a caring uncle and a loyal member of the Knights Collision staff. Dolores Regina Kersten nee Cassese was born in Greenpoint on May 24, 1943, and died in Cedar Rapids, Iowa on September 28, 2022, Dolores and her beloved Louis (Boots) were married in March of 1962. Preceded in death by Boots and her parents (Helen and Ben Montuori). Survived by her brother Joseph Montuori and her children: Louis (Todd), Robert (Therese), James (Alicia), Helen Ann (Tim), and Thomas (Esther), and Michael. She was a devoted grandmother to her four grandsons: Joseph, Benjamin, Matthew, and Peter. She was affectionately known as "the crazy lady". She was a proud Greenpointer who always spoke her mind and her actions were always filled with love and fairness. Dolores was devoted wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, and friend. She retired after many years working at the Greenpoint Savings Bank. She was a fine cook and made the best Italian Gravy. Connie Severino, life-long resident of Greenpoint Brooklyn, passed away peacefully surrounded by her daughters on August 30, 2022 at the age of 90.Connie was the beloved wife of the late Michael (Mickey) Severino. Proud and Loving Mother of Donna Severino, Debbie Severino McAllister and her husband John, and the late Lisa Severino.Cherished Grandmother to the late Michael McAllister who she adored. Loving daughter of the late Andrew (Andy) and Anna (Ann). She was loved by many cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.Connie attended St. Anthony of Padua School in Greenpoint, followed by St. Joseph’s High School and completed her education in Business School. She worked at the Aetna Life Insurance Company until she went on to her greatest accomplishment – being a homemaker and raising her three daughters. Her greatest joy was the happiness of her family and cooking. Connie loved to cook and could be heard singing in the kitchen as she stirred her homemade Italian “gravy” and fried her famous meatballs. Everything cooked to perfection, and made with a whole lot of love. Those who knew Connie often commented on how happy she was, and that she always had a smile on her face. She was kind to a fault and helped many in their time of need. She was a devout Catholic who prayed daily for friends and family, and although she did not go out as much in recent years, she watched the Mass every Sunday from her living room chair. Connie loved Our Lady of Mount Carmel’s Feast and the Dancing of the Giglio. On Giglio Sunday, she would put on her CD of the Giglio Song by Tootie Ferraro, place her Giglio charm on her neck, clap her hands and give a little dance – pure joy!Connie loved children and her heart was so happy when she was around them. She was blessed to have so many children around her throughout her life, and she often spoke of all of them. She was a babysitter in demand for many years, due to her kindness toward children and her love for them. Connie’s legacy will be her smile, laughter, kindness, her family and her home always filled with love and, of course, good food. Gerald “Jerry” Cardinal passed away peacefully in his sleep on January 18, 2022 at 100 years 9 months young, joining his beloved wife Antoinette in heaven who passed away in 2008.Jerry was a lifelong Greenpoint resident, only leaving to proudly serve in the Navy during World War II. He was a member of Don Bosco Knights of Columbus Council for over 60 years. A classically trained opera singer, he performed at the Roxy theater in the 1950s and was an avid member of the church choir. MENANDS, NY – Arthur Joseph Sieczkowski, 76, formerly of Greenpoint, Brooklyn, died suddenly Sunday evening, December 20, 2020 at his home in Menands, NY. He was born in Brooklyn, NY on September 30, 1944, the son of the late Arthur W. and Alfreda Dubicki Sieczkowski. Arthur attended St. Stanislaus Kosta Catholic Academy in Greenpoint and later graduated from St. John Kanty Prep in Erie, PA. Art was employed as a machine operator by Continental Can Company in Maspeth, Queens and Wayne, NJ for many years before retiring. He enjoyed photography, cooking and loved to shop for the sales. He was a fan of the NY Yankees and the NY Giants. He dedicated his life to taking care of his son, Arthur. He is the beloved father of Margaret (Louis) Beuselinck of Old Bridge, NJ, Arthur J. Sieczkowski of Menands, NY and Renee A. (Shawn Hayes) Sieczkowski of Glenmont, NY; grandfather of Caiden (Michael) Vance, Patrick Fardella, III and Alexander, Erin and Zachary Beuselinck; dear brother of Maria A. (late Kevin) Cahill of Greenpoint, Brooklyn; uncle of Kerryann, Aileen and Patrick. He is also survived by several grandnieces and grandnephews. With great sadness and broken hearts, we share with our family and friends the loss of my brother, William M. Bleday. The Good Lord took Bill home so that he no longer suffers in this world on December 10th, 2020 at the age of 63. Born to Rosemary & William, he was raised in Williamsburg Brooklyn. He attended Bishop Loughlin High School and earned an Associates Degree at St. Francis College. He later went on to obtain a license as a Respiratory Therapist and migrated to Florida where he practiced at St. Mary Hospital in West Palm Beach. He was compassionate, sympathetic and loved by his patients, especially the children and babies who stole his heart. Bill was a character, full of life, with a great sense of humor and an innate desire to party with his many friends from up and down the East Coast. He loved his mother's bar, Rosemary's Greenpoint Tavern, and took great pride in working there from time to time. He had a profound love for the beach and family lake house in Pa., which was the center of family gatherings and reunions.Bill is survived by his beloved partner, Edward Burnham, his sister Debbie Carson and her husband, Frank, his nephews Eric Carson, Christopher Carson and his wife Lynda , and his great-nephews John and Dean Carson, and his favorite canine buddy, Jameson.A memorial service to celebrate Bill's life will be held in late Spring or early Summer. With a very heavy heart I share that Olivia’s father John Sleight has passed away today 10/15/20 around 12:30pm.John was only 47 years old and diagnosed with stage 4 kidney cancer earlier this year.He underwent surgery at the end of July to remove the tumor but never fully recovered.John was true fighter every step of the way-- he was on/off a ventilator 4 times this summer and each time we thought it was the end, he’d fool us all and came out fighting.He ultimately passed peacefully in a Hospice on Long Island with his family by his side. John leaves behind a beautiful, smart and incredibly strong 12-year-old daughter Olivia.He was a great father, a dear friend to many, a colleague, a son, a nephew, a brother and a uncle. Anyone who knows him wouldn’t hesitate to tell you how great he truly was.He was a big teddy bear, ball buster John is survived by his Loving daughter Olivia and her mom Jeanine Grippo . Sister Stacy Elins and Phil and uncle to Peyton and McKenzie. Friend to so many. Viewing is on Saturday the 17th from 5pm to 8pm. There was such rejoicing when sheprevailed!When she took up a cause, she gave wholeheartedly. For years, she completedAvon walks to benefit the Susan G. Koman Foundation. And when she wasn’t up forthe exertion of those long walks, she volunteered in other ways. Braulio was born to Higinio Arvelo Martinez and Magdalena Crespo de Arvelo in San Sebastian, PR. He came to NYC from his beloved Puerto Rico at the age of 19. He started working odd jobs until becoming a NYC Police Officer. He later became a NYC Corrections Officer and achieved the rank of Captain. “Captain Crespo” retired from civil service after a distinguished 26-year career. Braulio was a cherished husband to Isabel (Dary) Arvelo Crespo for over 46 years. Braulio and Isabel met in the streets of NYC. Isabel needed instructions to her destination and asked him if he spoke Spanish. Braulio responded “Café”. Isabel fell in love with his sense of humor, full head of hair and handsome looks. From that day forward, they were inseparable. They went on to start a family and build a home in Brooklyn where they remained until this very day. Braulio was truly a man of strength and discipline. He will be remembered most for his witty sense of humor and his love of nature. Braulio is survived by his wife: Isabel, sons: David, Marcos, and Miguel, and his two daughters: Michelle, and Magdalena Arvelo; Step-children Carmen, Esmeralda, Victor, Griselda, Aida, and Winston; Grandchildren Illyana, Miranda, Adriana, Matthew, Maya, Alexander & 1 Great Grandchild, Alexandria. Elisa Torres was born 7th of 8 children in Humacao, Puerto Rico. She arrived in Brooklyn, New York in 1952 and was married to the late Jaime E. Cuevas. Elisa Torres leaves behind 3 siblings-- Maximo Torres, Antonia and Francisca Torres of Puerto Rico; 6 of 7 children-- Yvonne Quiles, Edna N. Cuebas, Myrna E. Troiano, Jaime E. Cuevas, Jr., Delma N. Vasquez-Badillo, and Sonia D. Villani, and reunites with her daughter in Heaven, Maria E. Cuevas; 14 grandchildren--Kia Quiles Helms, Nicole, and Julian Quiles, Monique Lopez, Sophia McCrae, Dylan Troiano, Christopher, Kyle and Nicholas Cuevas, Noel and Jeremy Vasquez, Megan, Kayla, and Michael Villani Jr.; 13 great-grandchildren--Alaina Quiles, Jaida McIntosh, Ian and Ryan Helms, Grace, Scarlett, and River Quiles, Amiya and Preston Lopez, Mila McCrae, Aubrey and Kendall Cuevas, and London Vasquez, as well as a plethora of community youth and families that embraced her.Elisa was a professional finishing her career as Mental Hygiene Therapist. As she raised her family, she served her Williamsburg, Brooklyn community with her work for social action including Voter Registration. She served on several community boards and held membership and various positions within school, health/hospital, cultural planning, and children and senior programs through early 2019 often partnering with big business to support these programs. Elisa retired early to dedicate her time entirely to her family, social action and engagement, and is thus recognized as a pillar in the community. Elisa Torres founded Unidad y Progresso (United for Progress) from which was born Blossoms Baton Twirler and Marching Band youth group, and she organized a board consisting of young adults and parents. After serving as President and Director of the Board, she remained as an advisor. Along with a host of great community programs, Elisa was instrumental in organizing the Roberto Clemente Cultural Festival in 1981, and as a result of her efforts plans for the Roberto Clemente Baseball Field were approved in 1992. When interviewed for a local sports periodical and asked, “What inspired you?”, she replied, “It’s simple. When you help people and see the joy in their faces, you feel good.” She was named the paper’s Athlete of the Week. Elisa saw her role in community action as her calling with no expectations other than the growth, healing, and the future of others. The Council of the City of New York honored Elisa Torres with a proclamation recognizing her “For always being an active member of her community, having organized and participated in several groups and events that had bettered the quality of life for the children and families in and beyond Williamsburg, Brooklyn.” Elisa’s children describe her as follows: “Behind her toughness was gentleness. Behind her selflessness was a stubborn generosity and fight for others that according to her ‘did not have a voice and could not speak for themselves’. Mami was LOVE. Devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Rosemary Bleday, a long-time resident of Williamsburg, and owner of Rosemary's Greenpoint Tavern a local legendary bar,died Tuesday the 11th of June at Eger Nursing Home in Staten Island.Born in 1933 on the Lower East Side, Rosemary married William Bleday in 1950 and moved to Brooklyn. There, she helped her parents run the bar at 188 Bedford Ave. from 1955. She was a well respected business owner and attained a celebrity like status in the neighborhood. Everyone who entered the bar knew who she was and where" Rosemary's stool" was.People in other states, as well as other countries abroad,knew of both her and Rosemary's Greenpoint Tavern, as the local "dive bar" gained world wide notoriety for being everyone's inclusive neighborhood bar.After Rosemary's parents passed, she continued running the bar for 64 years until its closing in February of 2019.Along with being a business owner, she enjoyed going out to restaurants, traveling, entertaining, dancing, telling stories and spending time with her family, especially during the holidays.She was loved immensely by her family, as well as employees, and patrons.She is survived by her daughter, Debra Carson and her husband Frank, her son, William Bleday and his partner Ed Burnham, her grandsons Eric Carson, Christopher Carson and his wife Lynda, and great grandmother to their children John and Dean Carson who brought her continuous joy throughout her later years.Rosemary Bleday will be reposed at the Evergreen Funeral Home Inc. 131 Nassau Ave. Brooklyn, N.Y. Greenpoint Centenarian “Big Helen” Sieczkowski Passed Away January 2nd, 2019GREENPOINT BROOKLYN, NY (January 4, 2019) – Greenpoint centenarian “Big Helen” Sieczkowski passed away January 2, 2019. She was the oldest living person on Jewel Street. Widow to Stanley “Chick” Sieczkowski, sister of the late Regina Klembicki, she is survived by her little sister Irene Grecula (age 99); daughter Alicia Kawochka, son Thomas; grandchildren Michael Kawochka and Natasha Phair, step-granddaughters Karen McCabe Nieves and Dawn McCabe Kuzma and four great granddaughters: Ava, Estee, and Macie Phair and namesake “Little Helen” Kawochka; and beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.She passed away one day and 10 minutes shy of her 101st birthday.Wake to be held at Evergreen Funeral Home January 6th (2-5pm, 7-9pm). Funeral 11am Monday January 7th at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, burial immediately following at Calvary Cemetery.Born on Bayard Street in 1918, ten months before the conclusion of WW1, Big Helen earned the honorific when her great granddaughter Little Helen was born in 2016. While she did not wander far, this Greenpoint native put down deep roots instead: she is an alumnus and parishioner of St. Stan’s, where she was baptized, educated and married. She was a lifelong polka music and dance enthusiast and devotee of the Jimmy Sturr Band, voracious reader (Daily News, cover to cover every day starting with the crime blotter and the coupon section), and dexterous sewer. Her long life is attributed to her steady diet of babka and kielbasa.She was a supporter of the Pulaski Association, the St. Stan’s Golden Age Club and the Greenpoint YMCA. Eugeniusz Maryniak of Brooklyn, passed peacefully on the evening of June 15th. at the age of 78.Eugeniusz is survived by his wife , Aleksandra Maryniak of Brooklyn N.Y.,Sons Andrzej,Niejadlik of Toronto Canada and Wieslaw Maryniak of Blandon, PA; Daughters, Teresa Maryniak of Manhattan,N.Y. and Ewa Maryniak of Brooklyn; and Grandchildren, Ania,Karolina,Angelika, Tom, Anastasia, Aleksandra, and Michael.Eugeniusz was born on March 05, 1939 in Poland to Antoni and Maria Maryniak. He married Aleksandra later in life and the were able to apend almost 50 years together. Hehad the opportunity to come to America in 1981 to make a better life for his family. His family followed suit in 1991, While in America, he spent his time making high-end fur coats. Anyone who ever met Eugeniusz received one free fur coat; anyone in the family received one free coat every winter season.He accomplished a lot in his life and was an extremely generous individual. When he wasn't working in his sewing room, he could be seen watching soccer, rooting for the Polish soccer team. The viewing is scheduled for June 1th. at the Evergreen Funeral in Brooklyn, NY. Thefuneral is scheduled for June 20th. at Our Lady of Czestochowa Cemetery in Doylestown PA. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Eugeniusz's life. The family would like to thank the nursing staff at NYU Medical Center for their kindness in care these last couple of weeks.
